VALE JIMMY “THE TURK” ONTURK The Gisborne Masters Football Club is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Jimmy Onturk. Jimmy was a much-loved member of the AFL Masters community. Larger than life, always engaging and never without that unforgettable smile, he was one of those people you were always pleased to see around the footy. A proud Geelong Masters player and Life Member, Jimmy played more than 180 games and represented Victoria at National Carnivals. Several Gisborne players had the privilege of playing alongside Jimmy at carnivals, while many more knew him as a respected opponent, great mate and genuine good bloke. Our heartfelt condolences go to Jimmy’s wife Emma, his children, family, friends, teammates at Geelong Masters and everyone who knew and loved him. This news will be felt deeply across the Masters football community. We encourage everyone to look after one another, reach out to a mate and not carry the sadness alone. Rest easy, Jimmy. “The Prince” will be deeply missed.
