AFL Grand Final commences at 2pm  (ACST) A Post Match BBQ will include locally sourced food and cost will be around $30.00 pp. Price will be set when numbers are confirmed.

Our Karaoke DJ Entertainer, Garry O'Callaghan is a master of your favorite tunes from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.  With this being his area of speciality, it's only fair that we honour the eras. Dress in your best (or worst) 60's, 70's 80's or 90's gear. Fremantle has a couple of excellent op shops you can visit, I've listed them below. If you are into recycling, I'm happy to set up a collection point and I'll return them to an op shop. With us being located on the West Coast this year it's an early start for the AFL Grand Final, with the game scheduled to start at 12:30pm local time. This event is a great chance to get to know your teammates and get around the group, it was a fantastic event in 2022 and was well supported in 2023. The Federal Hotel have offered the Vic Country travelling party a discount code for all purchases throughout Carnival week, and the link to register will come through shortly. Please register ASAP so we can confirm numbers with the venue, as they have put a room aside for us this year.

Who will be named All-Australian? Where will the 2024 AFL Masters National Carnival be held? The magnificent Aussie World will hold the 2023 AFL Masters National Carnival Gala Presentation Night on Saturday 7 October 2023 from 6.00pm to 11.30pm. Join us as we celebrate the end of the biggest ever AFL Masters National Carnival in our 43 year history and listen to the announcement of the Best & Fairest players as well as the presentation of the AFL Masters All Australian Teams for each age group. Triple premiership player with the Brisbane Lions and Fox Footy commentator Alastair Lynch will be our MC for the night. Tickets for the Gala Presentation Night are already included in the National Carnival registrations for all players but additional tickets for non-playing participants as well as family & friends can be purchased via each State’s or Territory’s respective carnival committee. Aside from being at one of the Southern Hemisphere’s great theme parks with a generous 5 hour drink package and vouchers for food, patrons will be entertained by a live band Eighties Recall in the shed til closing. There will be loads of entertainment throughout the night – from face painters, stilt walkers and balloon artists through to fire shows and roof top fireworks. The kids will have unlimited soft drinks, ice cream and fairy floss to make their night absolutely one to remember. State/Territory Polo shirts are to be worn whilst suitably enclosed footwear is recommended for rides. As with any theme park there will be height and age retrictions on some rides & attractions, whilst riders must be in good health & free from any potentially adverse medical conditions. The night will conclude with the traditional announcement of the host city for the 2024 AFL Masters National Carnival. Where will it be? At the conclusion of the Carnival we will head back to the Waterfront Hotel for our Presentation afternoon, where the trophy presentations will be completed. THis will be the final State function, and the precursor to the final function held by the AFL Masters Queensland/National bodies Food and drinks will be available at bar prices, children welcome

All players, managers, coaches, umpires, volunteers and their family & friends are invited to the 2023 AFL Masters High Tea on Tuesday 3 October 2023 at the Circa Rooftop Bar overlooking the skyline of Maroochydore between 2pm-5pm. As with previous years, both the Boards of AFL Masters National and the individual States & Territories will heavily subsidise the tickets for the non-playing spouses of Carnival participants as a way of appreciation for the time and effort that they sacrifice during the week. The subsidised entry fee for non-playing partners/spouses of Carnival players is just $48 (incl GST) per person – $88 for Carnival players & other non-playing attendees Entry fee includes a high tea plus 4 drinks. The Fashions of the Field will return once again. Will Adrina from NSW produce the Sherrin Fascinator for a third year running? Please note that tickets are limited and we expect this year’s function to be the one of the first to sell out so it is strongly encouraged that you get your tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment! FYI Ticket sales closing 20 September due to catering requirements.
